Welding Equipment and Training — Sierra Leone
Our contact Abraham is working in partnership with a local church in Sierra Leone to establish a small welding business that will provide practical skills training, create employment and generate sustainable income for people in the local community.
The project needs funding for essential welding equipment, tools, protective clothing and initial training costs.
Once established, the workshop will provide a valuable local service while giving trainees the opportunity to learn a trade, move into paid work and eventually help train others.
This is a practical, employer-based mission project designed to move beyond short-term relief. By investing in skills, work and local enterprise, the project aims to strengthen families, support the church’s ministry and create lasting opportunities within the community.
Our funding target for this project is £4,000 and we are actively seeking equipment, safety gear and individuals who can support us with training. There are several ways you can help move this project forward.

Get Involved
You can give financially towards the cost of welding equipment, tools, protective clothing and training. You can pray for Abraham, the local church and the people who will take part. You may also have practical experience, business knowledge or trade skills that could strengthen the project.
Some supporters may even feel called to travel to Sierra Leone, meet the local team and contribute directly through training, mentoring, practical help or encouragement. Any visit would be carefully planned in partnership with our local contacts so that it genuinely serves the project and supports the work already taking place.
